Why does a PIN code window show up after clicking the discount button?
When employees use discounts on POS and don't have access permission, the system will prompt a PIN code window, requesting login with manager account (inputting the manager account PIN code) to ensure the secure operation of the store.
To avoid this situation, you can disable the manager authorization for the discount feature in the back office:
Log in to the Taptouch Backoffice using the Chrome browser on your computer.
Navigate to the Promotion > Promotions > Discounts page from the left-hand side menu.
Locate the specific discount in the list, and disable Manager Authorization to revoke the manager authorization.
To revoke the manager authorization for custom discounts, click Customized Discount in the top navigation bar, and disable Manager Authorization.
After disabling the manager authorization, synchronize the changes on the POS terminal. Afterwards, employees will be able to apply discounts to customer products or orders without requiring manager authorization.
